Hi Gourav, Like I said.. my response was not specifically targeted at you. It is just that *others take a cue* and insensibly recommend google search. However, you were different by giving options of keywords and even the suggestion on 'howtoforge.com', which in my opinion is a very good source of information.
<snip> Now a days google is so powerful tools for everyone, where anyone can find anything. <\snip> That's an issue too. When people get lot of information in a random order, there are chances that one could get lost. Ideally, that's when ppl would look for help in groups such as ours. <snip> If I'll tell anyone how to do then he will be able to install and configure but he will not learn, but he will search and find, he will get 100s ways to install a software. This was he will get exposure to 100 different ways to install it. <\snip> I partly agree with you that one should not be spoon fed. But don't you think it would have been better to guide a user with what you know? -- such as suggesting few different configuration schemes that one could look in to and find his/her own way out. regards, anup > Hi All, > > My only thinking was to let the person learn, not just advising him to > google.
