.39 should have in-kernel support for ISDV4 as well if you enable
wacom_w8001. you still need inputattach though.

xf86-input-wacom .. driver for X servers 1.7 and later
input-wacom .. kernel backports + xf86-input-wacom
linuxwacom .. kernel backports + X driver for old kernels/old X servers
              (up to including server 1.6)
wacom-kernel ... current kernel patches for testing, though I'm not sure
                 how much actual development is going on there. Przemo?
