I did that. There are some inconveniences however. It seems that
MoinMoin does not provide any sort of discussion, as does
MetaWiki. (Besides the style is ugly and my configuration is in
Spanish which I can't chance, but these are small inconveniences).

The main thing is that the convert html2wiki deals much better with
metawiki dialect than with MoinMoin. As a result all the tables are
destroyed. 

Given all that I think best would be to have our own wiki in SF as
does have say the *freemind* project. In order to prevent spam, we
would give write access only to users which are registered.
