Mmmmm, open a terminal, do xidump -l Do you see stylus, and eraser devices? > At first I thought this was me simply not being used to the feel of the > device. That's true. Adobe has put a lot of money over the last 15 years to make it work well. GIMP can't compete with Photoshop as professional software. I don't like it, but that's the way it is. As a commercial product that cost more than 300USD, they can pay full time employees for adding professional options to the software, if the developers want to add it or not, is not a problem. In the open source community if nobody wants to add something, this is not included, period, unless someone pays for it. > I happened to be at a computer store, and they had my model of Wacom > hooked up to a Windows machine with Photoshop running. Windows drivers use a software filter that is stronger than Linux one. But you shouldn't notice the difference, unless you have a +3000 pixels width or a very bad tablet.(Volito) > So now I'm thinking that the problem might be with Linuxwacom settings. > > Can anyone suggest anything I might try adjusting in order to try and > achieve smoother, straighter lines? > > Thanks for any advice. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
