I have a similar situation with the X60-table in Edgy.
The tablet works pretty well after boot, but after sleep or hibernation 
it only works half the time.  Often I can suspend and resume only to 
find it not working, then often suspending again will bring it up again.
A proper procedure for shutting the serial port down and bringing it up 
again so that the xinput stuff will work would be greatly appreciated.
