Oh, don't give me this line of crap. I've been here just as long as you
have, and just like you, I've done my little bit here and there to
push things along. And I still am.
However, I don't feel that just because something *can* be done
that it necessarily follows that it *should* be done. I don't consider
thoughtlessly using technology without regard for its appropriateness
or for its side-effects "inventing the future"; I consider it careless
and irresponsible, and sometimes pointless.
So if the fact that I actually want to ask questions like "why should
we support this?" and "can we support this?" and "what is it good for?"
and "Is what we get by using it worth what it costs us?" and so on...and
that I expect to get answers *other* than "because we can", "we like it",
and "if you don't, you're stuck in the 80's" makes me one of the lava lamp
set IYHO, then fine, so be it.
