My research doesn't agree with your HO, Rich.

Um, Rich, YOUR version of reality forces them to remember one email
address with nine different command phrases. Our version of reality
forces them to remember various e-mail addresses. Oh, and the e-mail
address varies based on the style of listserver (is it
majordomo@domain? list-request@domain? listserv@domain?
Listproc@domain?), and, oh, the command phrases vary by list-server,
too. list-subscribe@domain and list-unsubscribe@domain hide all that
from the users.

Rich, have you done any real research with list users in the last 18
months? I ahve. My research doesn't agree with you at all. And given a
humble opinion or some facts, I'll stick with the facts, thanks.

When was the last time you did any user studies on this, Rich? I"m
curious. Or do you know the answers without doing surveys or user
testing?
