Sounds like the fight I had that caused me to ban juno.com from my servers
(since rescinded, when I moved from majordomo to mailman, and which I
sometimes regret, because the ISP with users most likely to convince me they
are simultaneously clueless and arrogant is juno.com. Sigh)

That's why I now do my blocks at the sendmail level, using the access file.
The IP addresses go away. With a couple of my more notorious trolls, the
sites they haunt can't even see my HTTP server. You can't subscribe if I
reject your mail before it enters the system.

I used to believe it was my responsibility to work things out if at all
possible, and I used to spend amazing amounts of time and energy finding
ways to not kick people off. A few really good trolls cured me of that. I
still will go to great lengths to find ways to work things out with people I
feel are worth 'saving' for the list -- but I don't do it just because I
feel I should. If I decide you're a troll, you die. Preferably from behind,
so you dn't get in a return shot before the head falls off. Too many of the
jerks abuse your trying to find a compromise that works for them, you AND
the list, and all you do is extend the pain to everyone for that much
longer. I finally realized I almost NEVER had these situations work
long-term, and I had real uses for that time.

Yes, yes, I've finally finished my home page. Lucky you.
