The planet is not secure either. However, it's better than that, they take your drivers license, but don't read it or compare it to your name on the account or anything, but at least they take it.
I haven't gotten a warm and fussy feeling with security since I left the SBC's datacenter. Also, the Quest datacenter out by the airport was secure also. I guess I should lookup my contacts out at SBC and see if I can get a deal there, I'm getting scared of cheap hosting. Funny story: I was with a company in 1998 doing dedicated hosting maintained by the planet for nvisiondesign.com. A few days after launch our home page was replaced with a guy riding a goat. The Planet left on anonymous FTP:), but we got the 'hackers' ISP to drop him for 6 months. I have been maintaining my own servers ever since, but I still rely on others for ping and pop.
