Yeah, I caught wind of the article through Slashdot.org. Unfortunately the greedy record companies are making it extremely difficult for anyone in the music business to distribute their music. Denise has taken down all the mp3s which were on the site due to pressure from BMI who is "encouraging" her to get a license from them. Unfortunately the music will stay down until one of the following things happen: * Denise gets proper permission to distribute the music used in her mixes over the internet * Someone who lives outside of the jurisdiction of the good ol US of A rips the music and posts it up on their website * We find some loop-hole which allows us to distribute the music online legally With how sue-happy the RIAA has become recently (suing 12-year old file swappers living in the hood!) leaving the music up on the website is too much of a liability. -Dave ___________________________________________________________________ The D mailing list http://www.djdenise.com/ Check out the new forum! http://www.djdenise.com/forum/
