I think I would also agree with that option, though I don't recall hearing
about ruby prior to this email thread.  The ircII language has too many
limitations for my taste, and I have toyed with the idea of implementing my
own client so that I could use a more complete and (hopefully) more efficient
language...of course, I don't have the time, and hop is a good coder, so...
