Executive summary: I need a mandate.
Currently, my assigned task is "help in rewriting the help files", but I'll
be forthright and say that assistance from the community is pretty sparce.
I am not saying that nobody is helping, but only that there is not a ground
swell of activity from you all to get this done.
I'm beginning to wonder if it's just that nobody cares about the help files,
or if everybody thinks it's somebody else's responsibility, or if everybody
thinks that it's *my* responsibility, or just what the situation is.
So I'm actually getting tired of working on the help files all alone and
not much has happened with epic recently since I'm not working on epic
because i'm working on the help files.
I formally request a mandate. There are three things that can be done:
* I can continue to work on the help files
* I can work on EPIC5, as discussed.
[EPIC5 is continued work on ircII/EPIC, picking up from epic4,
working on things such as plugins, channel issues, and so forth]
* I can work on ruby/epic, as discussed
[ruby/epic is a re-implementation of epic on top of a ``real''
scripting language that supports other scripting languages,
instead of continuing to hobble along with ircii.]
I can only do _one_ of these things. Working on more than one of them at
the same time is not reasonable to expect of me.
So what does the community want me to work on?
Jeremy
