Well, I"s hoping if the HGUC is translucent I'd do a
pearly translucent (i.e. a semi-transparent pearl coating) to make it
looks like the recent Five Star Story's "Plastic" look that Nagano uses
(who also designed Qubeley), so some coloring in the plastic is
(hopefully) not a big problem. How to make a pearly milky white would
be harder, as from what I've seen many who painted pearly white got a
pinkish or silvery tint. The silvery tint is reasonable as even the
real pearls have that tint (in fact, pearls could have all spectrum of
color), but I'd watch a real white. Maybe it's a mixture of how many
coat of clear vs. pearl (the micron powder thing) on top of the white

What star MG kit related to the movies? Do you mean Mk-II 2.0 and
Zeta 2.0? Or Rick Dias and Type-100? All the post-movies Zeta MGs

are rescale, repackage or recolor right? So both The O and Marasai
would have to break the trend. Seems the dark blue Quebeley Mk.II or
blue Hizack (or a movie-only color scheme?) are more likely. Or
Hizack or Rick Dias repackaged with new gimmicks?

I have the red one, but never paid attention to that point. I can
check some time (no promise). I have the metalic MG Gundam 1.0 and it
has what you call the translucent plastic. But I suspect it won't
satisfy your need. IIRC, it's more like a cloudly pale yallow rather
than the clear/translucent you get on a real clear kit. I think
Bandai just use the regular injection plastic minus the blah...
drawing a blank on the specific word for it... It's the micron size
sphere they add to make the plastic opaque. Whereas I think the clear
kits are molded from a slightly different plastic formulation.

I remember seeing someone did a transparent armor MG Qubeley online. Couldn't remember if the modeller re-casted the whole set of armor or did he find a way to get a clear-plastic MG parts. Cool for showing off, but didn't look that good.
