Guys -- sorry to bug you with OT topics, but I wonder all you casting/molding expert can help me with this.
For my son Toby I bought a box of this thing called "Baby Plaster
Casting Kit" earlier from a local store. It has 2 bags of molding
material and one bag of plaster to cast 1 baby hands & 1 foots. The
first trial I did with the mold it cured too fast so I ended up only
casting Toby's foot.
But now Elsa really enjoys the outcome and want to cast his hands. I
have tons of plaster of paris at home but I can't id the molding
material. Could you guys help? it's flaky/powdery and mixed only with
cold water. the mold ended up with a elasticity and consistency of, for
those who knows, grass jelly. Or those English Jelly candy. I'd love to
know what it is so I can buy it. I can't find another of the casting
kit as it's sold out.
If you can think of good suggestion on other molding material you're
welcome to bring it up too; but I worries about common casting material
we use for modelling onto baby's skin, so I'm seeking thing other than
those.
Thanks in advance!
