Sounds like it WILL ruffle a lot of feathers in the Transformer
fandom. Looks to me their decision is based on trying to appeal to
general audience and mildly-geeky but not TF fans (like me). Point is
no matter how much they ruffle feathers they still won't lose TF fans'
business. So by messing with it and making it more acceptable to
general audience, they have a chance to capture the big bucks and not
lose the hardcore fans (as far as money is concerned).
As a mildly geeky myself, I think it has a chance to work, if they try
to make a "faithful" live action TF movie, I will most likely give it
a pass. Actually I think I've already given every TF movie a pass. In
the last ten years I think sat thru a whole episode of TF less often
than Power Ranger. PR's are good for a laugh, at least.
Devastator and Bonecrusher look very cool. Double-deck turret, what a
cool idea!
