An faithfully dubbed US TV broadcast would be nice, but as long as Zeta Gundam is English subtitled on DVD, I'm happy and thankful.

It'd almost have to be dubbed for an US TV broadcast and it'd take alot of voice actor try outs to get the "right" voice for each character. Even though some rankle me, getting costly celebrity voice actors would be ideal for their "status" in the eyes of Hollywood types.

In addition to HIGH quality dubbing, Something like Zeta would, regrettably, need Hollywood "status" to be truly successful in the US.

There is no Gundam on TV in the US though I heard Destiny is airing in
Canada (I think?). Most of the Destiny discussion was done during it's
airing in Japan and we all know how that turned out. The second
Destiny Special Edition just finished airing in Japan so there's two
more left. Maybe by the last two it'll be fixed up compared to the
series.

Was anything major changed with the first two Special Editions?
Side Note: I don't keep up on this kind of stuff, but was the character designer changed for Stargazer versus regular Seed?
The reason I ask is because it seems like the characters have real
faces now instead of just eyes and a mouth.

Isn't this mailing list one of the oldest english Gundam communities?

Yup. It's been around since at least 1994 when I joined. It's
probably a lot older than that.

I guess just everything has been discussed on here and the new stuff really isn't that interesting to more UC oriented and older
fans.

Yeah. Unfortunately, it's also pretty disappointing to have a dream come so close (for me it is Zeta on US TV), then fail because of
some really bad decisions on the part of Bandai and CN.
