Destiny starts off nicely but is soon plagued by clip shows and a tacked on plot that lets the Archangel crew save the day at the expense of all the characters and stories built up in the first third of the show. Renting the first couple of discs shows nothing of the horrors to come in storytelling.

I've never watched the whole thing before because I'm old fashioned and stick to (mostly) legal ways of doing things, but it does seem to be better than I'd heard. If you're a fan of the original SEED and you're not too sure, I'd try renting the first few discs of just getting ahold of the early parts of the series to see if you like it.
