This solves the question of where the MG line will go with the OYW line
MG V2's (or at least V1.5) wasn't invented yesterday, so I wouldn't
say the question is solved by this particular announcement. But
indeed the V2's are kind of coming in a bunch now. This is the first
or second time two V2 kits are announced on the same day right?
Actually if you consider the list:
MG Char's Zaku Ver. 2.0 - w/ loading crane
MG Char's Gelgoog Ver. 2.0
HGUC Ground-Type Gundam
BB Senshi Blu Duel
HCM-Pro Destroy Gundam
Super HCM-Pro RX-78-2 Gundam
PG Wing Gundam Zero Custom - pearl coating version
7 kits/toys: BB Senshi Blu Duel is new, HCMP Destroy Gundam is new.
The rest are: two MG V2's, a coating version, a _Super_ HCMP of one of
the original HCMP, and HGUC Ground-Type Gundam is arguably a V2 of the
HG GT, so we have 5 out 7 are V2 or special version. Things are not
looking so good, Bandai.
almost finished. So does anyone have any speculation on other MG kits that
might need a version 2?
Perhaps it would be a easier discussion if someone is so kind to list
out all the V2 (1.5) and the Ver Ka.
I am not that sure Zaku and Gelgoog are so needy of a V2, actually...
And Mk.II V1 also was decent enough on its own, I'd imagine. So I
think V2 selection is probably not based on subpar quality of the V1
kit (e.g. Zeta V1), but on the popularity of the MS. If that's true,
then something like MG Sazabi would not see a V2 despite it being (I
heard) a poorly implemented MG kit.
But hey... now HGUC GT Gundam is confirmed, well obviously it's a Blue
Destiny tie-in, anyway this brings 08MST into the HGUC family... Will
there be a true new 08MST kit? Like Zaku II Prototype aka Zaku-Dom?
Or just retread all the kits in the previous HG line? It would be
disappointing not to get the Zaku-Dom.
