yes, thats correct. the EF use Zeon's interest in the WB/Gundam as a
diversionary tactic to keep them distracted and have their 'spec forces'
busy. all the while picking up their production pace(ships/MS etc).
Bright brings up the subject once he gets in front of the EF higherups
@Jaburo(novels/comics version). Amuro's power of NT also includes the
ability to see "the big picture"(kinda why he knew that the Zabis needed
to be stopped to end the war, and not Char).
in the EF hierarchy, only Reville and Tianmu are "frontline" leaders.
Gop and many of the others are "laid back" and prefer to let everything
run its course(politicians more than military leadership-type). they
believe that Zeon lacks the ability to keep the war from going on for
long periods, and so they believe they can "outlast" them w/o much effort.
