But only very minor spoilers...
So the first public knowledge of the Gundams is when Exia shows up at the AEU test and trashes the brand new AEU mobile suit. But that's not the first time that Exia has appeared. We know from the introduction to episode 1 that the Exia (probably - very slim chance that it was the missing #4) appeared in public at least three years earlier and intervened in the Dominic's invasion of Kurdish territory.
1.) Even assuming that no cameras survived the battle (not too hard to imagine, since the Exia blew up all of the Dominic mobile suits, and it's possible that those were the only functioning cameras in the area), presumeably Setsuna wasn't the only survivor in the city. You'd expect that at least a few other people would have seen the mobile suit and would recognize the Gundams when they reappeared. And you'd expect that at least one of those people would contact reporters. But that doesn't appear to be the case.
2.) The new Gundams have their mysterious light that interests everyone. But Exia was surrounded by something much more dramatic. What was it? And why haven't we seen it again?
