Not at all. We shouldn't be utterly dependent upon a non-renewable resource, no matter who controls it. The only difference here is that if they were democratic and prosperous I'd feel sad telling them to stick it. But I'd still tell them to stick it, because making them happy isn't worth wrecking the world and our future.

elected Marina will ungreedily choose to fix the global
infrastructure, close the oil wells and return to living their
traditional ways of the deserts minus the luxury jets and golf
courses.

Or they're forced to do that because we pick up our toys and go home. It's hard to feel sympathetic, since they had their chance to put that wealth to good use and blew it on luxury jets and golf courses instead of investing in the infrastructure that would secure their country's future.
