Funny enough, I wrote an entry in the MP forums whch had my own
observations so far in the series:
1) The Jupiter angle is very interesting, as it echoes the UC Jupitoris
fleet - which was also a fuel conduit for mobile suits in the UC (they
were the ones who got hydrogen by the tonload from Jupiter for fusion
reactors). If the story mirrors UC, then it's "peace through superior
force" as a doctrine for the Trinity.
- also, on further thought, the wreckage they entered in the flashback
is practically the same design as the UC Jupiter ship.
2) The Trinity reminds me of the "real" Gekiganger pilots in Nadesico.
- in the sense that they are "superhumans from outer space".
3) the power linkup? check out ZZ. that's how the Zeta gets more power
for its own Megalauncher.
- with a yellow mobile suit - forgot the name - that's also piloted by a
girl.
4) A Haro with erased memories? I bet more of programmed memory blocks.
It's no surprise if that thing has a HAL thing going - as the reference
to Space Odyssey is rather amazing there.
5) Graham is interesting - he's like Char in the sense that speed is his
only weapon, but has an otherwise-inferior mobile suit (Zaku vs. Rx-78).
I wonder when the mask happens. and, just like Char, he has already
killed off higher-ranking officers.
6) Actually, the idea of a ditzy but psychotic female is now rearing its
head again. and again, that's most seen in ZZ. and Seed, hahaha.
