I weant to mention that the membership proposal was and is a most
controversial issue among the members of the editing team, so reqst
assured that this issue needs lots of attnetion and serious
discussion.
You will all note that "membershiP" is perhaps the signularly most
difficult nuts to crack, in large paret because of everyone's worst
nigthmare that they will be left out in the cold without a voice (or a
vote) on the Names Council or the DNSO Board of Diectors, or the ICANN
BoD for that matter.
So, I wish to point out the the field is clear for new ideas to crack
this nut. I will follow this message on my own compromise proposal to
see if I can help to find a way to find consensus on membership and
constituencies.
But, I am keeping this msg to one topic per Jay's request.
