Thank you very much for clarifying this question. Perhaps my most
recent posts on this matter of meeting fees were mistaken, as
regards the ICANN meetings. However, the DNSO meetings, which were
tacked on to the schedule at the last minute, and which are planned
for three (or four) days, are exhorbitantly expensive. This is just
some more nonsense to restrict those meetings (and the DNSO) to
wealthier interests. I never heard of a non-profit organization
holding $5,000/day meetings. If the AP* organizations are rich and
want to hold meetings in the luxurious Suntec Center, that's their
business. But the the ICANN and its SOs are supposed to be
non-profit and , as such, have no business holding meetings in
venues that cost $5,000/day. At that rate, after holding ten
meetings we could have bought a bloody meeting hall in New York.
