In theory you are right that the overlap in schedule does not work to the
specific advantage of any one "side".
Yet, my frustration about not being able to contribute to both meetings,
combined with the feeling that the BMW drafters will be well enough
represented, may have an "in" with ICANN anyway, or (not really being in
favour of individual membership) would not care all that much to give
their input to the MAC meeting, made me say what I said.
I hope that you are right, and that I will be proven wrong.
