I just got off the phone with the second call from the person claiming to be
Jeffrey A. Williams, CEO of the elusive INEGroup.
Jeffrey continues to insist he DOES have a law degree at SMU, and that they are
not permitted to acknowledge he ever attended there. This is despite SMU
claiming otherwise. He uses their denial as proof he is telling the truth.
Right.
I asked Jeff to give me the name of one person at Gallup who is aware of ANY
dealings with INEG. He indicated someone name Brian Hollingsworth, same phone
number has he lists in his signature, and with a netcom email address. He then
admited when asked that he has also claimed that this Brian Hollingsworth works
for him. I told him I would stop posting ANY questions of his credibility if
he would give me the name of ONE person that I could call at Gallup who knew
anything at all about INEG and their dealings with them. He said he didn't
think anyone there knew anything.
I asked Jeff for the name of someone at the Texas Stadium who could provide
verification that the meeting occured (since they indicated when called that
they did not host this event, and indeed do not host these types of events),
and he refused to do that, saying he had to talk to his corporate counsel to
get that data.
The BBB in Dallas as no record of INEG, he had no comment on that. I asked why
there was no number listed for INEG, he claimed there was despite proof to the
contrary.
I asked Jeff to provide the name of ONE company that is a client of INEG (out
of the 85,000) that could verify this. A company that we could verify really
exists. He refused to do so.
Jeff tried to engage me in conversation about ICANN and Singapore, etc, but
quite frankly I am not interested in discussing that with someone who is being
disingenuous and fraudulent in his representations.
I told Jeff that if he would post one verifiable fact that his claims regarding
INEG were true, I'd post a full retraction and never questions his integrity
again. He still refused to do so.
I asked for the corporate registration number in Delaware, he said that was
private confidential information and he would not provide that to anyone.
I asked about Wired and why if they thought he was so credible did they pull
his quote, and he had no answer to give me. I asked about the german
publication, and he tried to claim they got their information only from my
website (which is not true, btw).
At the end of the call, the MCI long distance service broke in that "you have
one minute remaining on your prepaid phone card" and I don't think he realized
that I heard that also, because he then tried to say that another call was
breaking in. I said, don't you really mean that you have only a minute left on
your long distance card, and he said that message really meant he had a call
breaking through. Right.
Well, people, make your own judgement.
All I know is that I don't think the person playing the role of Jeffrey A.
Williams could tell the truth if his life depended on it.
