Minor correction: WorldNIC is not the NSI registrar, it is
just a portion of the NSI registrar and a relatively small
one at that. WorldNIC (or Registration Plus as it is now
called) covers only the web based name reservation process.
Most registrations still occur via the email process.

It's easy to conceptualzie. Just pretend the AOL .COM
registrar is
working over in a corner of NSI. Thats Worldnic, the rest
of ther
stuff is the nsi registry.
