Esther Dyson took issue with some of the debate's premises. She noted that when
debating whether the government should regulate cyberspace, someone who refers to
"the" government misses the point, since "there's more than one." She explained that
cyberspace is creating a competition for government and that issues need to be solved
at an individual, practical level rather than a general, ideological one.
