I dont dispute what you have said.  That is not the issue.  It is the
right to be anonymous and participate as a viewer.  Remember - non of the
remote participants have voting rights.  So you observation is correct -
but does not apply here.  It is outside the issue of debate - why is and
has remained - the right to privacy.
