Privatization of our global public Internet utility without any public vote
violates the natural rights every human alive today and tomorrow.
ICANN is a governing without the consent of the governed. This
lack of valid mandate means that ICANN is illegitimate, and the
Board now assuming power, therefore, is illegitimate. A hoax.
Usurpers may assume only the powers we give them. Someday,
we might outgrow the need for kings. We'll learn to rule ourselves.
Until then, we may suffer through rule of ICANN, for awhile, but as
a house of cards built without a proper foundation, one day it will
fall. One day, however long it takes for us to gain the maturity to
live responsibly free, direct network democracy will prevail.
