This smells and seems like a peeing contest. I think its mostly
underestimating others your are not vary familiar with, such as myself.
How many years did you live in the California Bay Area?

Any idea how I ended up back in Jacksonville or why? Or why I have
remained despite offers from all over the place. Not to long ago was
discussing work in China. I like to travel for vacation and other
things, not for work. I have avoided traveling for work, I am not a fan
of that at all. Though that might change in the future, and hopefully I
will remain in the area.

Again you have no idea as to my experiences or exposure, just as I have
no idea as to yours. I would not make such assumptions.

Keep in mind I have been elected to a board of trustees for an
international non profit entity before. Which I resigned from due to
lack of progress in a timely manner. Which most all of that has still
yet to be done years later. I was elected to that board by an
international voting body. Despite even putting in my manifesto at the
time that I did not want people to vote for me, in a nutshell :)

You might want to Google my name and see how many results you get, see
some of the work I have done and places I have been in over the years.
Make sure to put quotes around my name, heck I will provide a link to
help out.

I get 288k results, without quotes even more and mostly still me

Oh just small business I spoke with at Linux World when manning the
Gentoo booth a few times. Only small businesses attended Linux World.
Just like only hobbyist run and are involved with Gentoo. :)

My experience with SMBs is in a different spectrum. I reside in a few
worlds.

Again that is way to broad of a statement to make. Even given your
experience, you have not be involved with every enterprise out there. To
a certain extent you would not live here if you did.

Best thing I can suggest is go take a look at the source code thats out
there. Grep kernel sources, or others and see what you find. No opinions
there, will just let facts speak for themselves. You might be surprised
at the company names you see, and I would not be surprised to see VI/VIM
or Emacs lines at the bottom of those source files :)
