I am building an time reporting application where our employees can enter times such as vacation, meeting etc. I have my Beans, my DAOs and my gateways, everything is working wonderfully. But now they want an enhancement. Right now you can enter in one day at a time. Now they want to be able to enter time period instead of one day. So instead of say vacation for 8-5-06 they want to be able to enter in a form 8-5-06 to 8-20-6 vacation. Which makes sense really. What I'm struggling with is where does this function fit into an OO CFC design? Does this type of query go into the Gateway object? Or do I just loop over my DAO object? Surely I don't loop over the DAO object.
Any thoughts?
