In an application that we are working on, we hold all of a user's data in a session based object. We only commit to the database on two scenarios: a) The user actively hits 'save', or b) onSessionEnd().
By using this method, we can do what we need to whether the user saves, closes their browser, or any other end of their session..

HI All,
If a user logouts via the logout screen all is fine.
However, if the user justs quits(kills) the browser what happens to the
session variables?
They seems to still exist.
How can one detect that the browser is dead?
