Ron, an ajax call doesn't run client code. It gets client code. All you're doing is embedding a script into your DOM. From there you have two options:
1. Evaluate the returned script, your ajax framework should have some kind of script evaluation flag (check the docs). 2. Ron, I just realized that my test wasn't exactly perfect since I saved mine as a .htm file. So I re-saved it as ron.cfm and ran it though my ColdFusion server. It still worked flawlessly.
