Ron, an ajax call doesn't run client code. It gets client code. All you're
doing is embedding a script into your DOM. From there you have two options:

1. Evaluate the returned script, your ajax framework should have some kind of
script evaluation flag (check the docs).

2. Call the testMe() as a success response to the ajax call (therefore you
wouldn't include the function call in the returned script).

This didn’t work either:

Bah!

Ron - Have you tried wrapping the javascript in CDATA?

Grrrrrrr…….ok, yes it works on its own which tells me it’s not my browser
setting. Thanks for validating that for me Chris…☺

code and it’s not…hmmmmm…mucho interasante…scratch scratch.

Ron,

I just realized that my test wasn't exactly perfect since I saved mine as a
.htm file. So I re-saved it as ron.cfm and ran it though my ColdFusion server.
It still worked flawlessly.

Ron, what are you using to call the function?

Having trouble running a function on a cf template...looks like this:

That's all I have on the cf template as far as code.

Something easy I'm sure, can someone tell me why testMe() isn't
activating?

Thanks in advance!

Ron
