Hey? :-) Is it a little bit narrow minded? Why to close ourselves up to new
solutions? REBOL is getting good acceptance by press people, just look at news
event part of REBOL website. The question is, how many possible users we loose
by not providing things as REBOL solutions for various environments. E.g. -
REBOL module for Apache, REBOL module for FastCGI concept, browser plug-ins,
how to embedd REBOL into your own app, not just connecting of your apps via
some TCP/IP bridge ...etc.
Some of emails here mentioned telescope navigation. That's pretty my intention
too to use REBOL for :-). But I don't want to several tools to show on my
Win95 taskbar to mess our users. With REBOL/Media and serial, parralel, usb or
I don't know what interfaces I could probably bring complete solution,
inventing my own dialect for telescope navigation. But how to do it now? Write
an app, teach it to communicate via TCP/IP with REBOL. I still wait, what
app-talk means, but its imho just buzzword, as such kind of communication can
be done with current REBOL and its TCP/IP protocol capabilities even today,
but well, I can be of course wrong. So let's wait for more promissed dialect
examples, maybe there is something we don't know yet :-) ...
