Hi Sterling,
When I tried the two 'read dns://' commands I got 'localhost' and
'127.0.0.1'. I don't know much about networking (if you haven't noticed ;),
but I assume that isn't the correct IP address (I have a dial-up ISP
account, fwiw).
I included the ends of the trace logs. I noticed that the one that worked
used passive mode, but I didn't think that would make a difference. Could
the anonymous server (the second section) not be as particular as my ISP's
server (maybe it doesn't check my IP address)? I didn't ask about ip
masquerading when I called the ISP, but the guy said they don't have
anything set up that would block me (I asked about firewall or proxy).
