BIG thanks to everyone who replied, very useful advice. Running it is step with the other synths is what i'm after & using the internal sequencer to set the notes etc.. So which MIDI clock signal to Sync-24 signal converter module do you think is the best value for money, that is good for just keeping everything in time? Thanks again for your answers.. Tom

Mark,
I think you are confusing sequencing the 303 (i.e. from an external source) with running the 303's _internal_ sequencer in sync with MIDI.
For sequencing the 303 you definitely _do_ need cv/gate inputs on the 303.
For running the 303's sequencer in sync with MIDI you can indeed use a DIN-sync cable going into the 303, but this is _not_ for sequencing the 303. You need a MIDI clock signal to Sync-24 signal converter module for this, which is _not_ the same as a MIDI-CV convertor (though some -- indeed most decent ones -- do include both functions in the same box).
Cheers, Sjoerd
You don't need to use CV/Gate at all, but you do need a Midi-CV converter (mine's a Kenton Pro 2). Take the midi out of your Bass station into the Pro 2, and take a Dynsync lead out of the Pro2 into the 303.-------[ http://www.tb-303.org ] ---------------------- Subscribe & unsubscribe there : http://www.tb-303.org/
