Can anyone suggest some poorly designed web pages for web design students to take apart? Preferably these would be from public institutions.I don't know what you have in mind here, unless it's related to coding - semantics, correct structure, etc. Certainly I think it would be wrong to exemplify on the basis of design itself - colours etc, as this is purely a matter of opinion. (accessibility apart, of course). Some folk like clutter, some like empty, some like garish, some like subtle - it goes on and on. It's very important to distinguish between bad coding (which we can discuss) and bad design (which is often purely a matter of taste). (You have to avoid the fanatics jumping in with their favourite hobby-horse!) I dare say you already had this approach in mind, but it's worth putting my 2p's worth in. -- Best Regards, Bob McClelland Cornwall (UK) www.gwelanmor-internet.co.uk****************************************************** The discussion list for http://webstandardsgroup.org/ See http://webstandardsgroup.org/mail/guidelines.cfm for some hints on posting to the list & getting help ****************************************************** |
