I do agree, although on some occassions it's also a request from a
client where they have an obsession with small fonts and packing as
much text onto the screen as possible, even when you strongly advise
them otherwise (some people just don't get it)!

In some respects it's easier for the site to offer the opportunity of
changing the default font size in addition to resizing the font with
the browser. And IMO as long as it starts off with the browsers
default font-size then it's not doing much harm.

But thats just me - the font size patrol can feel free to disagree :)

(You could argue that by offering font sizing on the site that it
decreases awareness that the default font size can be changed in the
browser. But I wouldn't take it that far...)
