Hover over "Drawing" and from there go to "Portraits". Unless you make sure
to stay within the boundaries of the A element until you reach the sub-menu,
you can loose it or even end up in the wrong sub-menu.
As a side note, keyboard users and some UAs can't reach these sub-menus.

It's not supposed to do anything on "hover", only on "click" ;-)

IMHO, even if you implement a scripted solution to popup the sub-menus in IE
you'll still have usability/accessibility issues, that's why I suggested an
"accordeon" menu with each sub-menu *accessible* depending on the sections.
