Yes, I should have checked the archives before plowing ahead with this. I see that someone else may have already started working on the port. I've already submitted a new port for it (*ahem* with mistakes), but my last update should be correct. I didn't see that anyone else had submitted a bincimap port:
http://www.FreeBSD.org/cgi/query-pr-summary.cgi?category=ports&text=binc&closedtoo=on
You'll see my submission there: ports/48664.
Without extensive testing, I found that without the getopt_long() path
changes (CONFIGURE_ENV) getopt_long() was not detected, so bincimapd
did not understand long options (expected). Unfortunately, it did
not seem to understand any command-line/config file options at all
either. I couldn't be bothered to track it down since I really wanted
getopt_long() working. If someone else doesn't have getopt_long(), they
may experience the same problem (or not if my observations were due to
my own incompetence).
Andreas, if you want the package file, let me know and I'll make it
available. This would really only be necessary while we wait for
bincimap to be integrated into the ports tree.
