Is this per process or per machine? My observations are that bincimap is more than three times as fast as Courier; but I did not watch the CPU load. (I might repeat my tests again next week) If you were looking at the load only on the process level, then you might find the over CPU load is about the same, since bincimap uses 3 times the CPU but completes in 1/3 the time.I've had to migrate from bincIMAP... We're now running courier. This is due to the fact that binc consumes too many resources READ: 15% CPU as opposed to couriers 5%
And also binci's insistance on logging to the /var/log/messages fileI was just about to respond to this when I saw Andy's response.
As well as the incompatibility with SquirrelMail 1.4I now have SquirrelMail set up in the lab running against all of Courier, bincimap with a Maildir++ depot and bincmap with a IMAPdir depot. Mind you, I started with a fresh install (i.e. no conversions) and I have yet to test it with any load.
Sorry.. maybe we'll try again later.
Sure, Andy seems committed to making significant improvements with each release.
