So this is for a user application that is set as required ?

You don’t get pop-ups for applications that are set as available or am I wrong
about that?

There is just no supported useful solution.

What do you do?

Nope. Once it makes it into Software Center it is a machine policy. It is
confusing. Once you request something from the app catalog a machine policy is
generated to perform the actual install. This is why you will not get tthe
notifciation on a machine that you have never installed the software on.

That request is user based, maybe uninstalling the client wouldn’t do much.

Deleting the user object would?

I’m thinking about going unsupported and change the value in SQL…

Don’t expect things to break anyway.

Why the heck didn’t MS think about a proper solution?

You can set the app to disable notifications, but it will still show up in
software center.

The only supported way I know of to get it to disappear is to uninstall the
client, delete the machine object, and then reinstall the client

I think I’ve asked this before, but is there any way to remove a user’s
application catalog request? We have a user that requested an app he no longer
wants, but the software center keeps nagging him that there is software
available to install.
