I have seen PCs destroyed by dust on the motherboard. This might be less of a problem now, with fanless PCs, but we also need to consider rogue janitors with vacuum cleaners (ESD) and carpet cleaners (water and cleaning fluid). I have seen PC destruction from both. PCs do not belong on floors. They belong at or above desk level.
