I read, a long time ago, so don't have a reference for it, that for every six 
inches off the floor, the amount of dust ingested by fans is halved. I have 
seen PCs destroyed by dust on the motherboard. This might be less of a problem 
now, with fanless PCs, but we also need to consider rogue janitors with vacuum 
cleaners (ESD) and carpet cleaners (water and cleaning fluid). I have seen PC 
destruction from both.

PCs do not belong on floors. They belong at or above desk level.
