IU don’t understand why you would want to you. The right tool for the job. In this, if it’s something recurring that needs to execute, then a package and program is the right tool.

I tend to use the application model when I am installing something. I still use package/program when I need to run a script or copy files or some other non-installation activity. Just my two cents...
