Since Monday my Single site primary SCCM 2012 R2 Sp1 installation has been generating errors and behaving strangely.
Single site primary Windows 2008R2 Enterprise Server on VMware with sql 2008R2 on box, 13000 clients 115 distribution points. Over the past weekend, the site backup failed apparently due to timeout connecting to network location. Also starting Friday evening a colleague started to distribute a 500MB package to all distribution points. As of Monday Morning only 75% of the dps had successfully received the package. I started to review the logs and notes lots of errors in the site status log (attached) errors connecting to drive volumes on every dp error 67 error 21 and errors connecting to the registry error 6. Using the site server's system account to connect to dp's which is a member of the local administrators group on all dps, remote registry service is running on all dps. Some of the errors are referring to volumes that do not exist on the server (there is no Z$ on the server in the example below EXAMPLE: ---->: Enumerating drives on the server. SMS_SITE_SYSTEM_STATUS_SUMMARIZER 11/18/2015 7:03:21 AM 6384 (0x18F0) ---->: Unable to get the file system information for: \\YYZFP01.SedgwickCMS.com\A$\; error = 67. I tried stopping both and evening setting them to disabled but the keep getting restarted and have been running continuously at least since Monday. The site seems to be functioning ok despite the issues I was able to create and distribute a test package Collections and inventories seem to be running reports as well. While my group manages sccm there is another group that manages all of the windows servers in the field (distribution points) so it is possible a change was made that broke the remote connectivity but it would have been "off book" and no one from that group is owning up to it. Online searches have not provided any help. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
