I actually have a motor from Jim Husted that has dual field windings and we
will be playing around with it soon. This is the motor for 'Yellow Jacket',
a bike we hope to run/race at 72VDC.

The armature is still wired and connected the same. The casing has 6 posts
on it instead of the usual 4 for a series wound motor. When I get back home,
I will try post a couple of pictures to the EM site photo section.

For Mike, Yellow Jacket is a modified Super Pocket Bike frame that is going
to be setup with this motor from Jim, 6 SVR AGM batteries, an Alltrax 72VDC
controller (current value is far over 450A - special built for us) and a
series/parallel contactor to switch the field in-flight. As Jack said, we
may end up keeping wired in only one or the other, depending on the results,
however, we want to see where it gets us.

See ya,

Jim Husted has been toying with this idea, but I am not aware of
anyone that is running a series, parallel setup on a single motor.
