I too got stoked after watching Worlds Fastest Indian. So what are the sorts
of things that would need to be addressed in order to reach 130MPH on an
electric motorcycle on the slat flats.
First I believe that the acceleration area is 2 miles long before the timed
measurement of 1 mile and then of course you turn and go in the other
direction to get a back up time.
Aero dynamics - some form of fairing providing semi full coverage for the
front of the motorcycle and perhaps a tail unit would be required. One might
want to design this to be strong enough to provide safety protection.
Gearing - if using a series motor wouldn't you agree that a multi-speed gear
box is necessary?
