Is there a more layman approach available?
I still haven't figured out how I should wire the lights and ignition
switch as well.
Am intending to use the stock wiring harness.

Take a look at the wiring diagram I put on the website. It's not a
schematic. It's just a block diagram that shows the basics of what
goes where.
