A while back there was a posting for an 8 fan assembly, turns out the "second" fan does not run on 12 volts, not a fan, it appears from the www.avc.com.tw site that the fan may be a hall effect speed/fan control. Looks like there is an IC on the board of this second fan. I think the All Electronics folks missed this little issue. So if you need 8 mini-fans order two of the fan assemblies, and discard the second (3 blade) fans. Me, I am going to put covers over the holes in the shroud and run 4 fans and see if I can keep the motor cool. Other than that I think the fan assembly is a good deal, moves a good bit of air.
